All staff are to be on campus by 4pm on Tuesday June 15 (Division Leaders June 12 by 4pm) to assist with camp set up and participate in
staff orientation. Staff should complete all dismantle and camp clean up activities by noon Tuesday August 17, 2009.
Division Leader
A division leader must be at least 21 years of age as of June 20, 2010 and must have had a minimum of five years camp experience
two of which have been as a counselor or in a similar role. Division leaders are primarily responsible for the staff and campers assigned
to their division. Campers are assigned to divisions according to gender and age.
Counselor
All counselors must be a minimum of 19 years of age by June 20, 2010. Counselors are responsible for the direct supervision of campers
at all times. There is no greater responsibility at Camp Kingsmont than providing for the care and welfare of the campers placed in our charge.
Counselors must have strong leadership skills, must be self-starters and have a positive attitude. Counselors must be self motivating, possess
the highest degree of personal integrity and be able to handle the physical and emotional aspects of nurturing our campers throughout the
entire camp season.
Health Care Consultant
The health care consultant must be a Massachusetts licensed physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant with pediatric training
who will assist in development of the camp’s health care policies, approve any changes to the camp policies, review and approve the
first aid training of the staff, be available for consultation at all times and develop and sign written orders to be followed by the
on-site health supervisor in the administration of their health related duties
Lead Instructor
Each lead instructor must be at least 20 years of age as of June 20, 2010 and have a minimum of three years camp experience with one of
those years on staff. A lead instructor must be able to run at least two miles in less than 16 minutes. Special consideration will be made
for those applicants with current certification in first aid, CPR and/or lifesaving. Lead instructors must have participated in at least one
varsity sport at the high school, college or club travel team level.
Office Staff
All office staff must be at least 20 years of age as of June 20, 2010. Applicants should be enrolled in college courses in relevant
fields of study or able to demonstrate sufficient aptitude and skill. Camp Kingsmont is seeking three full time office administrators for
the ten week period from Monday June 14 through and including Sunday August 15, 2010. Office personnel will be expected to work from 9
am to 6 pm six days each week with an hour off for lunch.
Interns
All interns must be at least 18 years of age by June 20, 2010 and either attending college in a relevant field or demonstrate sufficient
interest and skill in the appropriate endeavor. We are seeking two nutrition interns and one photography intern for the entire summer.
