Directions
Camp Kingsmont is conducted each summer on the campus of Hampshire College located
at 893 West Street, Amherst, MA 01002. Our main office is Emily Dickinson Hall.
By Air
If you are traveling by air, we recommend flying to Bradley International
Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks, CT, which serves the Hartford/Springfield area and is approximately one hour from Hampshire.
Transportation for campers will be provided by camp staff with appropriate advance notice. Transportation to and from the Bradley International
Airport is free. Simply complete the ‘Transportation’ form which is part of the enrollment documents to let us know when to
be at the airport. Campers will be met by a staff member with an easily identifiable Camp Kingsmont shirt.
By Train
Amtrak has limited service to Amherst
and extensive service to Springfield, MA, just 30 minutes from Hampshire. If arriving in Springfield, transportation to campus is available
through Peter Pan Bus Lines or by shuttle sevice.
By Bus
Peter Pan Bus Lines runs from New York and Boston to Springfield, where bus
connections to Amherst may be made. Once in Amherst, take advantage of the free bus service run by
the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority. From Amherst Center,
take the bus that says, "Mt. Holyoke College via Hampshire College."
By Car
Camp Kingsmont’s main office on campus at Hampshire College is located in Emily Dickinson Hall. Traveling out of Amherst on West Street
(Route 166) , take a right on College Drive after the Admissions Office then the first right on North Campus Drive.
A map of the campus is available on the Hampshire College. The girls will reside
in the dorms at Enfield House and the boys will reside in the dorms
at Greenwich House. The dorms are on opposite sides of the main office.
